⚠️UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT!⚠️ When a stylist says they won't give out their color formula, beware! That's a sign of a very insecure stylist with a bad attitude. Why, you ask? Because, listen: no two heads of hair are the same. Even using the same formula, same color brand, same mixture, same processing time, same room temperature, same everything...🤷♀️it can still turn out ENTIRELY different. A person's hair texture, thickness, natural color, undertones, relative body temp, supplements/meds, hormonal levels, ethnic background, and many other factors make a difference in how the color turns out. It's just not possible to replicate the same thing on two different people using the exact same formula.💣 If a stylist is using "someone else's formula," it''s up to that stylist to assess all the factors at play and make adjustments to the formula based on all factors involved, in order to get the desired result. Hair color formulas= science 👩🔬 - plain and simple. Clients aren't property to be owned, and color formulas aren't intellectual property to be defended. #truthbomb If a client moves away and asks for their color formula, we always give it to them - along with helpful information for their next stylist. MMBC stylists have even been known to HELP find a new stylist for our moving guests, and we even work with the new stylist long distance!😉 It's the nice thing to do, really. And to you stylists - honestly, wouldn't you rather the client be happy and feel cared for because you've gone out of your way to help them out? I promise you, it'll create more goodwill and loyalty for everyone. Because I guarantee, if that client is ever back in town - she's coming back to YOU. ❤️
